A Week in Reflection #15 - Asim Siddiq

The wings of R-Sim’s space cruiser flap ever so gently as the space pirate makes his final descent onto the planet Cosmo Politics. One of the most massive planets in the realm, Cosmo Politics, is located on the edge of the galaxy. R-Sim recalls hearing many stories of space pirates entering the planet but never returning. Rumored to be guarded by supreme general RTJ, it only fits that the Key of Doncic would be found here. Notorious for using his tactical mind in the galactical wars, RTJ’s power is said to be unmeasurable. R-Sim recalls reading about the galactical wars and RTJ in Galactical Writing earlier in his journey. Hesitantly, R-Sim pushes the large glass doors of the entrance castle.  As R-Sim enters the middle section of the castle, he can see a towering shadowy figure. The figure emerges. Bigger than R-Sim had ever imagined, it is RTJ. Looking closely at his hand, R-Sim can see the key. Demanding RTJ hand over the key, R-Sim challenges the supreme general to a duel.

Having little monetary funding, the only weapon R-Sim produces is a cauterizing blade. Opposingly, RTJ equips himself with a full suit of armor and several hexagonal blasters. A battle for the ages ensues. The sides clash in a grueling fight until there is a sudden large cloud of smoke. As the smoke clears, R-Sim can be seen holding his blade to the chest of RTJ. Accepting his defeat, RTJ urges R-Sim to end him and take the key. Looking back on his journey and the lessons about mercy, fortitude, and discipline he learned along the way, R-Sim lowers his blade. Taking the key and sparing RTJ, R-Sim does something the rest of the space pirates failed to do – realize that honor in itself is not attached to power. Honor is gained from your actions, and power comes with it, not as a result of it. The journey is just as important as what comes from it. The growth that results from the process of the journey is where you can find real growth and development.

Returning back to his home planet of Letts, R-Sim destroys the Key of Doncic. Realizing that real power can be found in dedication and mental fortitude, the key becomes useless in R-Sim’s eyes. Afterall, RTJ still lost the duel, even with the magical powers of the key. Restoring the galaxy is not a task that can be achieved with the use of an object. There is only one thing that can save the galaxy’s people – themselves.

This last week of class was crazy. I think I have come a long way. With all honesty, I have had my doubts about this course and if it was helping me at all. Having the power of hindsight, this has been by far one of the most fruitful course I have ever taken. Challenging me to expand my established avenues of perspective, World Politics has forever changed how I view this world. The crazy part is that this is just the beginning. The beginning of a journey that will undoubtedly have its highs and lows. The most exciting part is knowing that wherever it takes me, the process will regurgitate me as a better person.

It's been real. I would like to thank all my faithful followers.... all 1-2 of you guys!
